Prior to joining First Person Care Consultants, Amy Barrett was a Family Care Case Manager at the Milwaukee Center for Independence, and provided long-term care services to members in the My Choice Family Care program. She has a BA degree in Social Welfare and Justice from Marquette University. Ms. Barrett has 10 years of experience working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as connecting individuals with community resources. While attending high school and college she worked in a Day Services setting, followed by case management in a local homeless shelter and then the Family Care Program. She enjoys building a rapport with participants and providing resources to maintain stability and encourage self-direction. Outside of work, Ms. Barrett enjoys watching and attending sports games, reading and spending time with family, friends and her cat.
